This little lady surprised here parents Jon and Mallory a little early and after a long hospital stay was finally able to come home for the first time. After she had settled in I was given the great privilege to photograph her with her parents and her uncles.
I love seeing the photos of her parents interacting with her. It is like they are seeing her for the first time all over again. Lucy is blessed to have such a wonderful family.
Stephen proposed to Davetta in the jeweler's parking lot. He had planned an elaborate proposal but said he just could not wait, and knew he had to ask her then and there. After planning their wedding for months the day finally arrived. Once again, Stephen swept the beautiful Davetta off her feet by hiring a horse drawn carriage to pick them up from their reception.
It was beautiful, the whole wedding. And the love between them was easily seen by all who attended. We were honored to document this precious day for them.
I had SO much fun working with this Del Ray family. Carol, Kevin, Luke and Sara Clare had such great personalities and I think we were able to see their inner selves unfold during our evening session. It was had to keep from laughing and quite often we all just gave in and had a good laugh. This made for some great moments on film.
